Frequently asked questions
How does the digital sizing and bespoke process work?
To ensure a flawless fluid drape, we build each piece entirely to your individual proportions rather than standard ready-to-wear sizing. After placing your order, you will receive an immediate email containing a secure, private link to the TrueToForm mobile application. The app will guide you through a quick, intuitive process using your smartphone to securely capture your precise 3D body measurements. Our Montreal production team will then use your unique digital sizing profile to adjust the patterns, cut, tailor, and hand-finish your garment.
Do I need to download an app to provide my measurements?
No app installation is required. The TrueToForm web platform can be launched directly from your smartphone or tablet's web browser using the secure link in your order confirmation email. However, if you prefer, an iOS app is also available for download on the App Store for iPhones and iPads equipped with Face ID.
What should I wear during the 3D scanning process?
To engineer a flawless individual fit, you should wear tightly fitted clothing—such as athletic wear, leggings, or base layers—that accurately reflects your true physical proportions without shifting or bunching. Loose clothing can impede scan accuracy. We also recommend tying long hair up securely above the nape of your neck so your shoulder and neckline measurements are clearly visible.
Can I order using standard ready-to-wear sizes instead?
Because our brand philosophy is built around a perfect, unrestricted fit, we specialize in tailoring garments directly to your 3D body measurements or digital sizing profile. This eliminates the restrictive boundaries of standard sizing, ensuring your garment moves effortlessly with you.
Can you create a garment from a design or sketch that I provide?
Yes. Beyond our core collections, our technical team can translate your personal concepts, references, or sketches into a fully realized, custom pattern engineered from scratch. Please note that these custom design commissions are fulfilled in accordance with our Terms of Service. For details, please contact us at orders@maisonsatyne.com
Can I request changes to an existing model on your website?
Absolutely. Any piece from our current collections can be tailored to your precise preferences. This includes structural and aesthetic modifications, such as altering sleeve lengths, adjusting collar styles, or modifying specific lines to perfect the silhouette. For details, please contact us at orders@maisonsatyne.com
Do you offer monogramming services?
Yes, we offer bespoke monogramming. You can personalize your chosen piece with elegant, custom-embroidered monogramming that is meticulously placed to add a quiet, timeless mark of personal ownership. For details, please contact us at orders@maisonsatyne.com
What materials do you use for your sleepwear?
We specialize in luxury sleepwear crafted from premium, Korean heavy-weight 22–25 momme mulberry silk. This exceptionally high-weight silk is chosen for its substantial feel, liquid-like fluid drape, and unparalleled structural elegance.
Where are your garments manufactured?
Every single garment is cut, tailored, and hand-finished by our specialized design and production technologists inside our dedicated production space located in the historic Chabanel apparel district of Montréal, Canada.
What kind of hardware and finishes do you use?
In keeping with a "Quiet Luxury" aesthetic, we do not compromise on components or internal construction. Our hardware and finishing standards include:
- Premium Japanese Hardware: We utilize high-end, Japanese-manufactured shell buttons.
- Impeccable French Seams: Every internal seam is meticulously sewn using traditional French construction. This completely encloses all raw fabric edges inside a delicate, clean double-stitch, ensuring a beautifully clean interior that feels completely smooth against the skin and prevents fraying.
- In-House Silk Piping: Our contrast accent piping is drafted, cut, and stitched entirely in-house using our premium silk fabrics, providing clean, tailored lines and a structural elegance that frames each silhouette flawlessly.
- Industrial Engineering: Every garment is executed using specialized, high-performance industrial sewing machinery and professional pressing stations to guarantee crisp edges, flawless edge-finishing, and a perfect fluid drape.
What are your shipping rates and destinations?
We offer complimentary shipping to Canada and the continental United States for all orders above $500 CAD. For international destinations outside of Canada and the US, shipments are processed as DAP (Delivered at Place). For details, please contact us at orders@maisonsatyne.com
What does shipping "DAP" mean for international orders?
DAP (Delivered at Place) means that Maison Satyné is responsible for safely moving and delivering the garment to your specified international destination. However, any local import duties, clearance fees, or taxes levied by your country’s customs authority are the responsibility of the customer upon arrival.
Will I be charged sales tax on my order?
Orders shipped within Canada are subject to applicable provincial and federal sales taxes (including GST and QST where required by Revenu Québec regulations), which will be calculated and displayed clearly at checkout.
What is your return policy for bespoke garments?
Because every piece is individually built from scratch to your unique digital sizing profile or customized to your specific sketch requests, these items are highly personalized. As a result, custom orders and tailored adjustments are final sale and fulfilled in accordance with our Terms of Service. However, our technical team works meticulously to ensure your garment matches your exact measurements for an effortless fit.
